The Great Salami Session

  • Sunbury Seniors Hub 8 Oshanassy Street Sunbury, Victoria, 3429 Australia (map)

Ever wondered how salami goes from humble ingredients to savoury, sliceable deliciousness? Come along for a hands-on look behind the scenes.

Sunbury Senior members, Frank and Louise, will guide you through a live demonstration, showing how traditional salami is made and sharing the know-how that turns simple ingredients into something worth waiting for.

There are a few clever tricks to the process, and this session is your chance to see them in action, ask questions and pick up a few secrets.

Please note: There won’t be salami to take home on the day. Like all good things, salami needs time to cure — up to six weeks, in fact.

Once it’s ready, the finished salami will be available to purchase at the Club on a date to be confirmed. Keep an eye out — the wait will be worth it.
